 Liz Barron

Elizabeth Barron
Burr Pilger Mayer

Liz Barron grew up in Sebastopol. She received her BA after 4 years at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and became a licensed CPA after spending 2 years working with high net worth individuals and venture-backed technology start-ups in the Silicon Valley. During the summer of 2012 she returned to her roots so that she can provide service to the community that gave her the foundation upon which she built her career and life.

Liz specializes in tax compliance and planning, primarily for individuals and trusts, as well as family businesses, including vineyards and wineries. She enjoys working with clients to explore planning opportunities and considers compliance a secondary aspect of the job – the primary goal of any tax professional should be to become a trusted financial advisor.

In her free time she enjoys volunteering in the community, specifically in conjunction with children with educational goals, as well as attending Giants games and exploring the wonders of Sonoma County. She could not be happier to have returned to this area and looks forward to new opportunities as a member of the professional community.

Angela Brierly
Vintners Inn

Angela Brierly's love affair with Sonoma County's hospitality and garden bounty began at a young age. Born in Iowa to a large family of farmers, Angela moved to Santa Rosa, California with her parents and three older brothers in 1978.

After graduating from Santa Rosa High School at the age of 16, Angela attended Santa Rosa Junior College full time as a Graphics Art major. After the birth of her daughter, Erin Rose, Angela began working for Lisa Hemingway’s Restaurant in Montgomery Village. This is where her passionate love of food, wine, people, hospitality and Sonoma County blossomed.

In 2000, Angela attended Sonoma State University as an English Literature major. Full time single parenting and an ever growing passion for the restaurant business led her to change her career path to Hospitality.

Angela joined John Ash & Co in 2002 as Maitre'd. Her natural exuberance for learning and her love of the industry led her to explore the Lodging side of the business as well, and she joined Vintners Inn as Assistant Manager in 2007. Angela worked enthusiastically to bind and develop the business relationship between Vintners Inn and John Ash & Co. In 2011, Angela returned to her hearts' calling, and re-joined John Ash & Co. as Assistant Manager. In December of 2012, Angela was promoted to Events and Banquet Manager for John Ash and Vintners Inn and the Vintners Inn Event Center.

Angela was an active member of the Charter Council Committee for Village Charter School from 2001-2003, and acted as volunteer Art Instructor for the 5th and 6th grade classes. Now that her daughter is in college, Angela enjoys backyard beekeeping, traveling, networking and building business relationships here in Sonoma County.
